Hey Lovelies! Not sure about you guys, but I’m definitely loving winter days in Los Angeles. I’m especially loving the colder days because I’m able to wear winter pieces like this studded knit pencil skirt and decorative tights! Don’t get me wrong, I’m addicted to L.A. sunshine on any day, but the change of weather is quite refreshing. I kinda chuckled at this blogpost before posting it because I just recently ranted about wearing a lot more black these days (see here)! Well guys, here’s yet another black winter uniform. However, I love the grey contrast the skirt provides for this particular black look. The studs are simply the icing on the cake for me because I love perfect little details that standout like this. I’m also head-over-heels about the thick black lining in the front on the skirt. As a designer, I live for features like these. The skirt provides a nice amount of stretch which gave me even more of a reason to absolutely love this piece. At first I thought that the studded tights may have been way too much, but after putting it together, I actually love how both the skirt and tights complimented another. I wasn’t sure what top I’d pair with my studded look especially since I wanted to wear my Mirina Collection necklace to glam this look up a bit. After overthinking it a little too long, I settled for a simple cropped cardigan. I’m actually thankful I didn’t try and pair this look with a more dressy shirt because I would have committed a fashion crime – major overkill! Sometimes simplicity is simply best!
