Forever 21 Sequin Top :: Nordstrom Distressed Jeans :: Top Shop Clutch :: Aldo Sandals

Hey Lovelies! Hope each of you are having an amazingly awesome day and thank you so much for stopping by to check out my  blogpost on “Spring Textures”  today. On various SS/16 runways I saw a lot of designers incorporate contrasting textures in their shows. I  took some time the other day to look at SS16 trends  again for inspo which sort of gave me the notion to create this look. Typically, I don’t mix textures; I’ll play mismatch with colors, prints, and patterns, but never have I ever mixed so many textures in my life, lol. However, this look embraces sequins, fur, leather, denim, and suede but I must say I’m kinda proud at how this look brilliantly produced an outfit I realllllly enjoyed wearing. I ‘m crushing over the navy and black tones throughout the look  and although we’re in spring, I feel like the colors aren’t terribly wrong. The white and peachy hues brighten my look up, helping to create that fresh spring ready look I was aiming to achieve. Not sure about you guys, but I’ve really been vibing with navy lately. In years past, I didn’t too much /have any navy anything in my wardrobe. Nowadays, I get pretty excited when I see anything navy, especially statement pieces. I love the color on my skin tone and navy also just has this attractively rich tone. Sequins and fur are not textures you would normally see me wearing in spring either, but again, I kinda broke some rules with this look. But, I think we can all agree that it was kinda worth it, right? I mean I’m all matchy-matchy and  chic, yeah?!? LOL!! Sometimes you just have to break the rules in order to get an awesome look. Mission accomplished! =-)
