House of Chic Maxi :: Tom Ford sandals

Hi lovelies! So……. apparently, disco isn’t dead yet! For whatever, metallic was one of SS15’s trends. Personally, I wasn’t thrilled with it because I rarely wear metallic. Metallic is quite scarce in my wardrobe. Reason being, I’ve always thought of metallic as solely disco party relevant. It also gives off  constant celebratory vibes. I’m not saying anything is wrong with that, but it’s never really been my thing. Nevertheless, I would have never expected to own a dress of such. BUT, when I laid eyes on this House of Chic metallic coated maxi, all of my unfavorable opinions sorta disappeared. What I love about this particular piece is that this metallic material is relatively subtle and I think that’s why I was attracted to it more than the typical heavy metallic material. Plus, we’re well into the holiday season, so metallic and all things shiny are in order, right?!? In truth, I rarely wear maxis because of my short girl syndrome (lol), but this one somewhat elongated my stature. Although I could have made the look a lot more holiday festive, I opted out of that and dressed it down with my favorite denim duo as of late. The only complaint I have with this look is that Los Angeles weather is much cooler, so I couldn’t enjoy wearing it sleeveless the whole day. On second thought, I guess I won’t complain that much because I actually love Autumn weather. I also recall asking for the weather to cool down only like the first four weeks of fall. So, excuse my fashion bi-polar moment…. It happens to all of us at some point I’m sure!
